I would imagine that it's difficult finding a partner
at your age. It's hard enough for us older folks. And from what I've seen
of the personals, most of them aren't very promising.
Still, may I make a suggestion? Vampires have feelings, just like non-vampires.
They usually don't want to be seen as mere objects of sexual fantasy. Take
your post and substitute the words "Black" or Black culture" for every vampire
reference. Doesn't sound too appealing, does it? In fact it would sound like
the skin color is more important than the person. I doubt that's what you
mean, but there you are.
Also, besides blood, what do you have to offer? What are your interests? As
a black woman, I'm more likely to answer a personals ad that mentions the
writer's qualities and what kinds of interests he or she hopes I have, rather
than an ad that says, "I've always fantasized about Black women." I like to
feel that this person will think I'm special. I also want to know that we'll
have something to talk about, other than the new line of makeup that Iman's
put out, or how deeply I tan.
When I look at vampire ads, I look for ones that talk about musical interests,
a desire (or not) to have children, food preferences. Just because someone
has their fantasy about being seduced by a vampiress with pointed fingernails
who keeps them in a dungeon and bleeds them, doesn't mean I want to fulfill
it. Besides, that adds up to one night, not a life, or even a month of good
times. Besides, it's a rather selfish fantasy. I don't see anything in there
about wining and dining the vampire who is going to do all this seduction
work. I don't see anything that indicates that my paramour is going to drink
wine and lay off certain foods so that his or her blood will be sweeter for
me. And I certainly don't see anything that indicates this person is going
to buy the goofy outfits and fangs that I'm supposed to wear all the time,
or supply the scalpels and sharps containers (funny how practicality rarely
comes into these vampire fantasies).
I'd advise that you lurk here for awhile and find out what vampires are really
like. We're very different from the books.

BE PATIENT FOR RESPONSES! Not everyone has the time to go through the personals
on a daily basis. If you want a fast response, you'll have BETTER luck placing
an advert in your local newspaper, particularly if you can deal with S&M or
bloodfetishists. (If you don't know what S&M is, you're *probably* too young
to place a newspaper personals advert, since most of THOSE have certain minimum
age requirements.)
