I have made layout changes, but otherwise left the grammer alone. ~Sphynx
I knew there would eventually come a moment when someone would ask me if they
could be 'turned', it was only a matter of time. So here comes the ultimate
statement to those who come here wishing to be made into a vampire.
SORRY, BUT I CAN'T. I CANNOT BITE YOU AND TURN YOU INTO A VAMPIRE.
The reason? We are all born this way. We are not undead. We are alive. Most
of us have either gone through what I call vampire puberty or have been Awakened
to our nature but all of us have been vampires since the moment we were conceived.
I'm sorry to disappoint you and I sympathize, the modern myth of the vampire
is seductive. The sheer power, never having to fear another human being, never
having to fear growing old and feeble, having forever to do all the things you've
ever wanted, who wouldn't want a chance at that. But the reality is very different.
We grow old slower than normal humans but we do grow old and eventually die.
We do have abilities that most people don't but we cannot shapeshift nor do
we possess supernatural strength. And we are always hungry. At our most basic
level we are all natural predators, whether we like it or not and asking to
be 'turned' by people you don't know puts yourself in danger. The majority of
us are reasonably nice people but there are vampires who will prey on those
gullible enough to believe in them. I don't wish to sound patronizing but you
run the risk of coming to serious harm when dealing with real vampires. Even
we can come to harm when dealing with our own kind.
You are more than welcome to stay, explore the site and ask questions, maybe
when you leave you'll have a better understanding of us, and perhaps yourself.
And maybe you'll come back.
Ignorance may be bliss, but not for those who labour under it.
With love,
The Scarlet Moon Organization
