Here I will attempt to explain my views of real vampirism. Note, that my views
are mine and mine alone... there are those that have similar views and those
that disagree completely.
:::smiles just a bit:::
I do believe that vampirism is an altered form of genetics which causes the
need for blood consumption as well as gaining nourishment form blood (or psi
energy for psi vampires). Note, though, that I do not consider vampirism to
be a disease. Diseases to me cause pain, and in most cases death. Though vampirism
can cause physical pain if not dealt with properly**** it is manageable. I have
never heard of a real vampire dying from being so.
To me vampirism is a way of being....(a sub species, if you will). Vampirism
is a state of being that can offer endless possibilities. I view it as a gift,
though some may not. I dwell happily in the knowledge of what I am capable of
learning and experiencing each day. This is not to say, though, that I take
it lightly or that it is an easy existence...it is Not!!
I do not believe vampires to be immortal, nor do I believe us to have extended
life spans of hundreds or thousands of years... that is simply ridiculous. Although
I do prefer to think that our souls could possibly be, i.e., life after death
or reincarnation.
I do believe it is in our nature, due to instincts, to be predators. Although
I, nor have I ever heard of a real vampire, "hunting" people. I believe
there to be a far higher edification than that to mine, or any real vampires
existence.
I personally do not believe in categorizing vampires. To me...You are what
you are...simple as that. If some one were to ask this of me my only explanation
would be that I believe in ....
Born Vampire
a human born that is a latent vampire (see terms page) and is awakened
in some manor , most usually by another vampire.
Psi Vampire
one who feeds from the mental energy of another instead of feeding
on blood (although I believe some Psi vampires to feed on both blood and energy).
There is much more that I could say on this subject, but for now I will leave
it as simple as I can. There are those that may agree with what I believe and
some that may not...we all are entitled to our own beliefs. Just as we all are
entitled to draw our own opinions of another's beliefs and/or reasoning.
I have recently read a few things that state that vampires could not exist,
for if they did, we would be noticed. Let me say that I, for one would not make
myself open to public ridicule or harm. Do you not think that if others knew
my true identity that I, and others like myself, would not be in danger? There
are those that claim to be vampire hunters, etc., not that any one truly is,
for I do not know if they are or are not. Think about it...would it be plausible
to announce who we are knowing that there are people out there who would think
that our kind need to be eliminated and harm us and our families and/or loved
ones? I , would love to have a perfect world where what I am and how I am is
accepted...but at the same time, I know that is not ever going to be so I keep
my identity a secret. I created this site so that others could possibly begin
to understand the truth about ones like myself, in hopes that some day, we will
not be judged as freaks, immoral, or wrong, for simply being what we are. I
only wish to let others know that we are not as people think and judge us to
be!
I did not state any of this to attempt to force another to believe as I do...I
wrote it for a simple explanation of my beliefs and understandings so that others
may understand me a bit better.
Many many thank you's.......a-alibaster

a college student with a paper for one of her classes. {March 2001} :::smiles

How do we live in our society today...
Well for me it is not an easy thing. Most do not know
what and how I am. I live in a small place and what I am would simply not
be accepted. Minds are neither open nor understanding of such things. Here
vampirism is still viewed as what "Hollywood" has made us out to
be... A complete and utter lie!!
I do think their are more vampires in some places
than others. There are very few were I am, but venture to places like new
Orleans, Ca., or Florida and you may find those that at least claim to be
so in the drones. But notice that I said "those that claim to be",
I feel that there are many who seek attention or acceptance and claim to be
things that they are not. I think that case happens very often. Though it
is a sad thing indeed for ones like myself. Those that pretend or want to
be things they are not tend to make things difficult for ones like myself.
They commit crimes and claim them to be vampire related as well as claiming
to have powers that just do not exist...these are the things that make society
in general not accept the truth!
I, myself tend not to expose myself to others due
to the flack that I would take, and I feel that most of us who are not pretending
or looking for some sort or self satisfaction from what we are tend to keep
to ourselves. We do not exploit what we are or what we do. We do not kill
others, we do not harm others, we do not flaunt what we are...it is simply
not our way. I can tell you that if you run across those that do flaunt vampirism
in your face or rant and rave on the subject...more than likely are not truly
what they claim.
I created my site approx. three years ago as a way
to find those like myself and believe me I have run across a good many fakes
and crazies. There are those of us that keep in touch here on the net for
a purpose...because we truly are...and we know who is and who is not. I guess
in a long drawn out way...if you know the truth and know what to look for
then you know who is and who is not.
I have aided others with papers and books for the
simple fact that I feel others should know the truth and what to look for.
I also feel that ones like myself should not be shunned as we are...we did
not ask to be as we are, and we live the same as others, work the same, love
the same, walk the same, and breath the same. We just happen to have a bit
of a different make up than others...that does not make us wrong or unacceptable
to society.
I hold a normal job...I own a web design company.
I go to meetings just as others do I speak with people and communicate with
others and they have not a clue what or who I am...so would that not tend
to lead others to the conclusion that those of us that are really what we
are can exist and drift through society just as all others do?
Until...ail
